Install

Three steps and you're done.

The beta isn't notarised by Apple yet, so macOS blocks it the first time. It's a one-off — here's how to allow it:

  1. 01

    Open Palsee.dmg

It's in your Downloads folder. A window opens with the Palsee icon and the Applications folder.

  2. 02

    Drag Palsee to Applications

Then close the window and eject the Palsee disk in Finder.

  3. 03

    Open it the first time

Open Palsee from Applications. The first time, macOS blocks it:

    1. aIn the “Apple could not verify…” alert, click Done.
    2. bOpen System Settings → Privacy & Security and scroll down to Security.
    3. cNext to the message about Palsee click “Open Anyway” and enter your Mac password. The button stays there for about an hour after you tried to open the app.
    4. dConfirm Open in the next alert. From then on Palsee opens normally.

On macOS 14 Sonoma the old shortcut still works: right-click Palsee → Open. Apple removed it in macOS 15 Sequoia.

Finally allow Microphone, Screen Recording and Accessibility (Palsee walks you through it). Then hold ⌃⌥ and say what you need.

These steps follow Apple's guide: Safely open apps on your Mac (support.apple.com)
